Dave brought his life underwriting and new business experience to MassMutual in 2023 and has been part of the industry for over 35 years. He currently holds the position of Chief Life Underwriter for all distributions.

Prior to joining MassMutual, Dave was Vice President – Life Underwriting at CoreBridge Financial. Previously, he held the positions of Assistant Vice President, Third Party Life Underwriting with MetLife from 2014 – 2017. and Associate Vice President – Life Underwriting & New Business with Nationwide where he began his career in 1989.

Dave graduated from Bowling Green State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration, specialization: Finance. He obtained his MBA with honors from Ashland University. He has his FALU (Fellow, Academy of Life Underwriting), CLU (Chartered Life Underwriter), and the FLMI (Fellow, Life Management Institute) designations.

Dave has served as a LOMA text reviewer for Insurance Administration, Third Edition and Life and Health Insurance Underwriting, Second Edition and served on the LOMA Education & Training Council from 2008 – 2013. He rejoined the LOMA Education & Training Council in 2016 and served until 2019.

Outside of the office, Dave is a certified USA Track & Field Official where he has been able to watch some of the best collegiate track and field athletes in the country perform.
