Jonas Katz

Jonas is a Principal and the Chief Marketing Officer of SALI Fund Services. He joined the firm in 2016 and is responsible for the development and management of the firm’s relationships with life insurance companies and investment managers. Jonas has more than 20 years of experience in the hedge fund industry, both as outside counsel and as an in-house attorney. He began his career as an Associate in the Investment Management Practice of Seward & Kissel LLP in New York City, where he specialized in the formation and representation of U.S. and offshore hedge funds, funds of funds, and investment advisers. 

Most recently, Jonas was a Principal at Forester Capital, L.L.C., a multi-billion dollar fund of hedge funds in Greenwich, Connecticut. Between 2010 and 2016, he served in various roles at Forester—including Chief Operating Officer and General Counsel—and was responsible for the development of Forester’s Insurance Dedicated Fund. Jonas is a widely recognized speaker on the topic of Insurance Dedicated Funds and has presented at many industry conferences and events. Jonas attended the University of Southern California and the University of California at Santa Cruz, where he graduated with a BA in Politics. He received his JD from Brooklyn Law School and is admitted to the Bar in the State of New York.
