As a Managing Director at Commonwealth Financial Group (CFG), Sam oversees and mentor’s new financial advisors in the Financial Planning Mastery Program, propelling the team to become one of the fastest-growing financial planning groups in the Boston area. He also manages a well-established book of business, while remaining an active member of the Vermont Army National Guard.
Prior to joining CFG, Sam was an Infantry Officer for the United States Army and was responsible for the discipline and morale of his unit. These leadership skills were instrumental in helping him apply the same mindset to entrepreneurs looking to grow their businesses. Sam specializes in facilitating the transition of veterans, small business owners, and tech sales professionals into successful financial planning careers
Beyond his professional accomplishments, Sam is a dedicated advocate for social causes. In 2021, he played a pivotal role in raising awareness and providing aid to displaced families in Afghanistan, resulting in over $84,000 worth of donations. He also joined the Friends of Jack Board in 2022, focusing on supporting underprivileged youth in his local community.
A 2013 graduate of Norwich University with a bachelor’s degree in history and a minor in Marketing, Sam resides on the South coast of Massachusetts with his wife, Sarah, and their three children. He serves on the Norwich University Board of Alumni Association and collaborates with various non-profit organizations. In his leisure time, Sam enjoys family travel and sports like golf, baseball, and football
