Sherry Hudson is Vice President of Life Underwriting – Operations at Nationwide, where she leads a multidisciplinary organization of approximately 400 associates supporting all distribution channels. Her teams span underwriting, case management, reporting and analytics, and new business solutions.
With more than 25 years of experience in the insurance industry, Sherry has held leadership roles across life underwriting, operations, claims, policy administration, service, and annuities. Since joining Nationwide in 1997, she has led teams through business transformation, system modernization, organizational realignment, and operational change.
Sherry is known for her collaborative leadership style, deep industry knowledge, and commitment to building strong, empowered teams. Her current focus includes operational excellence, process innovation, strategic transformation, talent development, and preparing Life New Business for the future through technology, analytics, and thoughtful adoption of artificial intelligence.
Throughout her career, Sherry has helped organizations improve the customer and partner experience while strengthening accountability, efficiency, and workforce capability. She holds the FLMI, FALU, ACS, and CBC professional designations.
