Virginia Craig is Vice President and Head of Individual Life Underwriting at Mutual of Omaha. She is responsible for leading the life underwriting and new business Departments. Virginia is also responsible for a shared services team focusing on Innovation.
Virginia has 25 plus years in the insurance industry. Virginia joined Mutual of Omaha as a Vice President in 2022. Before joining Mutual, she was Vice President and Chief Underwriter at Pacific Life Insurance leading the Broad and Affluent markets. Prior to Pacific Life, Virginia was Senior Vice President of Life Operations at Aviva/Global Atlantic Life Insurance Company leading the new business and underwriting teams. Virginia started her underwriting career at AEGON/Transamerica. Virginia was Vice President of new business and underwriting at Transamerica leading multiple product lines.
Virginia earned a bachelor’s degree from Northwest Missouri State University with a double major Psychology/Sociology and a minor in criminal justice.
