Financial Security Leaders Announce Formation of Finseca Foundation to Support Financial Empowerment, Industry Research, Diversity

Finseca Foundation Will Elevate and Educate the Financial Security Profession to Help More Americans Build and Protect Their Financial Future

Finseca, a professional transformative trade organization, today announced the formation of the Finseca Foundation, which will focus on elevating the work of financial security professionals to help drive better outcomes for consumers. The Finseca Foundation will work directly with the Finseca organization to advance the mission of helping Americans achieve financial security.

Finseca is the voice of the financial security profession, and the Foundation will help enable Americans to protect and enhance financial well-being – for themselves, their families, and their businesses. The Finseca Foundation will serve the leaders and financial security professionals working to protect the dreams and promote the prosperity of the American people in addition to uniting the profession that serves 90 million American families.

To complement the work of Finseca, the Foundation will focus on three ongoing core initiatives:

  1. Conducting and providing research to help financial security professionals better serve the needs of American consumers seeking to achieve financial security
  2. Providing resources for Americans to become more financially empowered consumers of financial products and services
  3. Advancing and championing the next generation of financial security professionals by identifying top talent from diverse communities.

“The Foundation will support the broader Finseca organization and will elevate the profession by promoting its essential impact on everyday Americans, ensuring it evolves to meet future needs,” said Bonnie Godsman, President of the Finseca Foundation. “The Foundation will also focus on recruiting efforts to better reflect the diverse communities we serve. To achieve financial security for all Americans, we need to promote diversity within the next generation of talent.”

The Finseca Foundation will set the standard for collaboration and initiatives in the name of inclusivity, education, and community-building. It will also be a resource to the profession and equip both Finseca members and financial security professionals with the tools, research, and skills they need to better serve their clients in an ever-changing market.

“In September, we publicly launched Finseca as a new, unified organization committed to serving those who protect the dreams and promote the prosperity of the American people,” said John Bucsek, Chair of the Finseca Foundation and CEO of MassMutual TriState. “With the launch of the Foundation, we are well-positioned to execute on that mission in a way that is deeper, more impactful, and better tailored to the diverse needs of the American people.

The Finseca Foundation will focus on two main pillars – Elevate and Educate – to drive transformational change in the profession: Elevate the value and purpose of financial security professionals and educate the profession and the people we serve. The Finseca Foundation will also increase diversity in the profession and broaden financial security to more communities and generations of Americans.
