Over the years, I have noticed that the members who get the most from Finseca are not necessarily the ones doing everything. They find what helps their business, put it to work, and build from there.
Jordan DeBettencourt, our Vice President of Membership and Engagement, joined me to talk about how his team is using our Member Health Score to understand what members value and help them find benefits they may be missing.
That work contributed to record retention rates over the past two years and recently earned our membership team an ASAE Gold Circle Award.
Jordan’s advice is to “find your one thing.” I called it a cop-out, but he has a point.
Maybe it’s the Finseca Daily or our bi-monthly policy updates. For me, it is our Conversations That Close series. I have spent years around the best people in this profession, and they are remarkably deliberate about language. They ask a better second question, know when to stop talking, and make complicated ideas easier to understand.
I also believe in being in the room. At Finseca meetings, you meet people who have already wrestled with the problem on your desk. One good conversation can change how you approach your business. I have watched it happen for years.
Start with what would help you most right now. If you are not sure what that is, Jordan and his team will help you find it.
Together, we are Finseca.
