Nearly every profession has an association advocating for its interests, and ASAE supports the organizations doing that work, including Finseca.
In this week’s Monday Brief, I’m joined by ASAE President and CEO Michelle Mason to discuss how ASAE protects associations during major policy debates and how Finseca’s involvement gives our profession a stronger voice.
We saw the value of that relationship during last year’s tax debate. Finseca focused on protecting our members and their businesses while ASAE rallied the broader association community against tax increases that threatened the entire nonprofit sector. That coordinated effort helped prevent the debate from going in a very different direction.
Michelle also shares ASAE’s priorities for the next several years, including stronger advocacy, more prepared association leaders, and helping organizations deliver greater value to their members.
As I prepare to serve as Secretary-Treasurer of the ASAE Board, Finseca will have a voice in these conversations and an opportunity to share what we’ve learned about uniting a profession around financial security for all.
